Grief Education
In a perfect world, no one would experience loss or grief. But no matter your present age or stage of life, you have discovered that loss and grief are two aspects of life that everyone experiences.
We typically think of loss and grief as referring to the death of a loved one and it certainly includes that, but encompasses so much more.
At 338, we provide a safe and confidential retreat setting where you can journey through your life experiences and transitions with a trusted grief educator. We all need someone who will witness and honour our grief compassionately and be an objective presence in our loss.
The goal of this work is to express our grief, get curious about it, and eventually discover how loss and grief can continue to impact our lives in a meaningful way.
Our grief heals a little more each time we engage with it, and that enables us to discover the new person we have become, gain strength, and find purpose in our lives after the loss.

GRIEF EDUCATION FOR GROUPS
338 provides grief education not only 1:1, but also in a group setting.
Six teaching sessions are offered to provide support, conversation, encouragement, learning, and practical tools regarding loss and grief. This program is beneficial for first responders, volunteers, caregivers, medical staff, veterans, military personnel, or anyone who regularly faces loss and grief.
This program also provides support and learning for groups of individuals sharing the same journey of grief and loss (e.g. loss of a spouse, sibling, major life transition).
Click on the "contact" tab to learn more or to inquire about personalizing the program to suit your own gathering.
An added bonus of participating in grief education with 338 is the opportunity to interact with our handsome certified visitation therapy dog, Viktor.
A two-year-old Roosevelt Terrier, Viktor has been aptly nicknamed “Dr. Vikta” by his adoring fans at Hospice Peterborough, where he makes frequent appearances.
